Review of September 2013 to August 2014

Once again the band has had another busy year.

The Last Night of the Proms November 2013 concert attracted a full house audience at Ellesmere Port Civic Hall, including occupancy of the upper tier. The band was able to make a substantial donation to the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.

Also in November the band played for the Remembrance Day Service in Hawarden, an ongoing booking which is always a very moving occasion.

The band played at the Tree of Lights service  in December at the Countess of Chester Hospital which  has also been an annual event for several years.

The May 2014 concert at Ellesmere Port Civic Hall was based on a ‘Music Hall’ show theme. It also featured a saxophone quartet and an oboe duet from members of the band.

In July 2014, the band played as part of a concert at Abbey Gate School which was great fun!

The bands next appearance is at Eaton Hall Open Day on Sunday July 27th 2014. It is always great to play at this beautiful venue.

This is followed by an appearance at Hawarden on the morning of  Sunday August 3rd 2014.
